RPA is best for repetitive, rule-based digital processes based upon structured data. Intelligent Automation is a combination of RPA, artificial intelligence (AI), and analytics technologies, which together can automate end-to-end business processes and, in turn, accelerate digital transformation. Intelligent automation-based bots continuously improve in that they can learn and grow “smarter” as more data is collected and analyzed (through the process known as machine learning). The application of intelligent automation for back-office IT operations is referred to as IT Operations Management (ITOM).
